Try Freediving Course - Sydney - Alexandria

Try Freediving Course

Introduction to Freediving

Try Freediving is the perfect introduction to the world of freediving. This 1-day course is available in Sydney’s Eastern Suburbs and on the Central Coast. The course focuses on having fun, building confidence in the water, and understanding the sensations experienced while holding your breath, helping you become more comfortable and relaxed in the water.

Course Structure

This course is primarily conducted in a pool and includes:

  • Full Theory Session: Dive into the knowledge of freediving and safety, learn about equalisation (popping your ears), understand what happens to your body while holding your breath, and master relaxation, mental, and breathing techniques.
  • Breathing Session: Learn the proper techniques for effective breath-holding.
  • Two Pool Sessions: Practice static apnea (breath-holding in the water) and dynamic apnea (underwater distance swimming), engage in safety training, and master the fun skill of blowing bubble rings.

Note: If weather permits, one of the pool sessions may be replaced with a shallow ocean session.

Outcomes

By the end of this course, you will feel confident in the water, having expanded your comfort zone. You’ll be excited to test your new skills next time you're swimming or snorkeling.
